Chosen Photographs

After choosing my final photographs I have decided to choose a different photograph to replace the image where the man is not looking at the camera, this is due to the fact that all Hugos photographs in his set show each person looking at the camera. The eye contact helps to engage the viewer and my photograph does not do this through the eye contact. I will choose a photograph which shows a person with eye contact.

I have chosen the above photographs as the final ones due to the similarity to the artists photographs. I like the similarity between the photographs as a set, the colours and setting look like the same sort of area/ place. I think that this is a accurate representation of my area in emulation of the ideas of Pieter Hugo. Obviously because I live in a different country there are different ways of life, these photographs show the connection between animals and humans in my area whereas Hugos photographs show the connection and life of humans and their work pets in Nigeria. There is an obvious difference between my own photographs and Hugos however the style is emulated to show the difference between Nigeria and the UK.
